To Find My Heart

To find my Hart

I can’t seem to break these chains
The need of want, the fear that reigns
The things that keep ME from MY art
The art of love to find MY HEART,
The art of love to find MY HEART
To find MY HEART, to find MY HEART
I find ME…

Beating the beast back everyday--trying to find MY HEART
Watching every word I say--I’m trying to find MY HEART
And if I tend to tread too deep when on sacred ground
Wake ME for I am sleep--I’m trying to find MY HEART

Searching through the jungles deep--I’m trying to find MY HEART
I dig in caves where dead men sleep--I’m trying to find MY HEART
Though science is a friend of mine it cannot draw the chart
Of the gift of the divine, the secret of MY HEART

Is it kindness, or plain mindless
Something I cannot pretend
And in a moments’ time YOU approach sublime
Now don’t YOU say a word

I fear the power of this land--cannot find ITS’ HEART
The world is hardly in OUR hands--YOU better find a HEART
Just like a single grain that’s beaten by the wind
Let the sea of love come in and open up YOUR HEART

We have just a little while
To turn the grin into a smileAnd take a world that’s torn apart
If WE love to find OUR HEART
If I love to find MY HEART
To find MY HEART, to find  MY HEART
I find ME…

Beating back the beast
It’s unseen
It’s so deep
I’m trying to find MY HEART
